Dr. Nechtman grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama, graduating in 2011. He then attended the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, obtaining his doctorate in 2015. He began his training at Wake Forest in neurosurgery where he did research in spinal cord injury and completed his neurosurgical training at the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in 2022.
